Integrated Care Systems, regional collaboration & digital innovation
Following the Royal Assent of The Health and Care Act (2022) on April 28, 2022, Integrated Case Systems (ICS) arrangements will take effect and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) will be legally and operationally established on July 1, 2022.
Outside of the 42 ICBs’ established across England on a statutory basis, health care, local authority and third-party bodies may begin to think about and consider ways in which they can join up to work towards this collaborative state and improve the care of its citizens and work of their employees. This is where digital innovators and experts can help implement statutory reforms (more on this below).
What are Integrated Care Systems (ICSs)?
Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) are partnerships and bring together the National Health Service (NHS), local authorities, and third sector bodies, to take on responsibilities and collaborate for the resources and health of a specific area or system. The aim of this innovative collaboration is to deliver better and integrated health and care services for patients, and ultimately improve the lives of people who both work and live in the specified area.
Digital Capabilities that support Integrated Care Systems (ICSs)
Shaping Cloud understand that implementing the reforms stemming from the Health and Care Act 2022, alongside major policy developments in association with the Act, requires a substantial number of resources (most notably skills and expertise) and input from various bodies and individuals.
Having worked with Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) – a city-region made up of ten Greater Manchester councils – and Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership (GMHSCP) to not only join up their care, but rationalise resources, share assets, control authorisations and authentication, and lessen the red tape when working with public sector organisations and the general public, we (Shaping Cloud) understand the digital capabilities needed to support you to work together well right from the start.
We have proven solutions that will enable you to create a digital platform of reusable services that will help you to work seamlessly with your partners and bring together a regional view of data and systems.
Cross-organisational Identity & Access Management (IAM)
Cross-organisational identity and access management is one of the key foundation stones you need to get going. For more on our work with GMCA and GMHSCP and GMID (the digitally innovative, regional identity service) please refer to our case study where you can find the detail of drivers, solutions, outcomes and also the future of GMID for GMCA and HMHSCP.
Shaping Cloud can confidently implement the digital services you need to reforms of establishing city-regional, Integrated Care Systems. Contact us today at hello@shapingcloud.com, lets discuss this further.
